Texas is a great state for a lot of things, but wheelin is not one of them. Also sorry you have to end up in El Pisshole. I really don't like that town much. Not sure of any ohv parks in that area but you are close to New Mexico and there are places in the mountains to run trails and power lines.

We have, without a doubt, more offroad opportunity than anwhere in North America. You will be amazed. I can rock crawl or run sandhills within 10 minutes of my house. To the west we have unlimited BLM access to desert mountain ranges all the way to the Pacific ocean. Immediately to the north we have the Chile Canyons and Dona Ana Mountains in Las Cruces NM, and all of the Rocky Mountains starting right here in town. If I can figure out how to transfer some images to this forum, I'll post them. The greatest thing is there are no "parks" (we don't need them) and access is unlimited. No user fees or restrictions. All you need is a rig and some free time.

These are from a recent short ride, within the city Limits.

Like 2jk said, there are some great wheeling areas here in El Paso. When you get here, shoot me a PM and we'll get you hooked up.

This is the first time I have been in this part of the forum but it is sure nice to see a few other EP wheelers here.

BTW, planning on a easy run today out by Santa Teresa, also about 10 minutes from my house. Will probably head out there around 10 or so and will check here to see if anyone else posts up with any interest.

I never logged on yesterday, so I missed the invite. I took my black TJ Rubicon out in the afternoon and did a little shooting at the "shed" out off of the powerlines. Anyway, I'm out there somewhere every Sunday afternoon. For those in this neighborhood, the annual Chile Challenge is happening in Las Cruces Wednesday through Saturday. Even if you aren't signed up, there's lots of spectator viewing available, especially for the extreme stuff. Lot's of Jeeps, great trails. That's where I'll be this week.
