Default Handguns and Texas

Just a quick question to my fellow Texas jeepers. I am thinking about keeping a handgun in my jeep. Especially when I am out on a trail somewhere. If I keep it in the under-seat box is it considered a concealed weapon?

In Texas it's legal to carry a handgun in your vehicle without a CHL. It's also legal to carry a concealed handgun on your person to and from your home.

Now, take that with a grain of salt and commen sense. The only way you can LEGALLY use that weapon is if you shoot from INSIDE your vehicle. You can look at it this way...yes, its there if you need it...BUT as they say, there's a lawyer assigned to every round that leaves the chamber. My advice, get your CHL. It's relatively painless.
