Default Hi to all

Newbie JK owner and loving it. Love the forums, lots of great ideas.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good beach with good access. I haven't been to the coast in a while and have no idea what it is like since Ike. Just looking for a fun easy place to drive.

Thanks

BIll

The far west end of Galveston at San Luis Pass has a beach that you can drive on. It survuved the hurricane fairly well although most of the dunes are gone.

Also, Matagorda Beach is accessable but you have to buy a permit. I can't remember the cost but it was cheap. I think $5 or $7 per vehicle?

Bolivar Pennusula (Crystal Beach) has a driveable beach too.

Welcome to JK-Forum and congrats on your new jeep. Access to the beach is awesome at south padre island. Go to access 5 and 6 where they allow vehicles. Just stay out of the dunes, there's a $500 fine I never been on there, but I've heard. I am out there just about every other week-end so maybe I'll see you if you decide to go.

I'm planning a camping trip to Port Aransas and plan on doing lots of beach driving. Is there anywhere else around that is good for jeepin/camping?
