Default I should know these answers 😧

1. Are the 2015 models still a JK?

2. Do all Willys have the same mods?

1. Yes, 2017 will be the beginning of the next model Wrangler. I have heard it will be called the JL.

2. I don't know about the Willy question. What mods are you talking about?

I don't know about any mods, but I did a lot of research on the Willys before I ended up going with the sport. The Willys has the Rubicon shocks/springs, Rubicon rock rails, Willys wheels, and some decals. Other than that its the same as the sport. You can get it with or without the power accessory package (seemed like most dealers didn't have that package and was special order).

Ended up doing the math and it really wasn't worth the extra price (considering you can get Rubi take offs cheap) unless your just going for the look.

Don't know if that helps you out.

That helps a ton!!! So it doesn't come with a lift, it sits higher due to the tires?

Mods was probably the wrong word, upgrades would have been better.

I'm impressed you found that much information!! I just new it was a mix of the sport and a Rubicon.

I believe it also comes with 3:73, track lok rear end, and the 32" BFG Mud Terrians.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding of the Willy's is it has rubicon shocks, wheels and tires and the Sahara traction control system. I do not know what axles it comes with.

Rubicon has larger axles (dana44 vs 30/35) electronic swaybar disconnect (very nice feature), front & rear lockers (lock rear tires to rotate together - Sahara does this utilizing the brakes like traction control. Works well but not as good of a setup), stiffer shocks, the better offroad tires, (same as Willy's)

Willys does come with the rubi shocks and springs... At least thats what i had found out when looking into it. Bfg MT are also standard, It has its own rims though. Axles are the same as a sport or sahara (44 rear, 30 front) and geared at 3.73.

If your wanting the benefits of a rubicon get a rubicon. Don't buy a Willys because it has SOME features a rubicon has (tires and rock rails). Aside from the electronic sway bar disconnect Rubicon also has the electronic lockers and rock trac transfer case (4:1). Nothing beats the Rubicon out the door.

I would have loved to have got a rubicon but it was a little out of my budget. I bought my sport which came geared at 3.73 because of the tow package. Picked up some rubi take off wheels and tires with 100 miles on them for $700 and rubi rock rails for $100.

As far as a "lift" I can put my sport next to any stock rubicon or Willys and its the same height. There is word on the street that adding rubicon springs/shocks to a sport will add height. I don't know if its true... i haven't tried it or know anyone that has. Rubicon shocks are stiffer but they wont add height.

Hope that help with your decision. I know I was up in the air for over a month before i finally pulled the trigger a deal.

Rubicon coils are no different the the same number coils from any other model. There are several different coil rates depending on what options are on the jeep such as hard top or tow packages. Unlimited JK's have higer coil rates due to the extra 2 doors and length that adds weight. If you want more info on coils do a search as there is a thread that goes over the numbers.

Thanks everyone!!! I actually bought a willy (the rubicon was out of my budget) so I'm trying to decide what mod to do first, given what I have on the willy. Sounds like the lockers might be good?? Any thoughts???
