Need Help
Howdy everyone, I have been reading for months but not much of a poster. I have been involved in rock crawling for the past 8- 9 years. I have a 99 Tj that does just fine.
But I have a sister who is looking for a nice used 2007 or newer 2dr in black or white, would prefer white if possible. Im too busy with work to be looking all the time but if you know someone in the DFW area or close that has a 2dr in white can you shoot me an email. An "X" if just fine she is not a wheeler and will probably never see 4 LOW but you never know, she is a motor head and speed freak.
Thanks,
karl@cowtownjeeps.com

There's usually a few used JK's between all the dealers here in the Fort Worth area, but to be honest I would discourage buying used. I've seen used prices as high as the new prices. And depending on how long she plans to keep the vehicle, consider the warranty...the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty is NON-TRANSFERABLE, so after the initial all inclusive warranty runs out, Daimler Chrysler gets out of a liability with all the used vehicles they have. Also, early model 2007's didn't come with the Lifetime warranty...was mid-2007 when that came out.
Most dealers do not want to negotiate either, but when i got mine last summer two things helped me: 1) Thru my employer I was entitled to the Daimler Chrysler employee pricing which was about $1500-3000 off depending on style and options, so see if she has any access to that or if a dealer will let you have that price, and; 2) DM was pushing leases by lower rates and payments versus a traditional purchase or smartbuy type options.
I initially leased my JK, but will be converting to a straight purchase before too long.
