Anyone make this run lately? A group of us are shooting for July 17th and if you have done it recently what were the conditions like?

3 guys I work with made this run a week or 2 back on enduro style motorcycles. They had to be street legal bikes and what do you know, about halfway thru the ride, in the middle of nowhere a game warden pulled them over to check and make sure they were all legal. They said it was an easy ride and didn't go thru any water.

 

Yep, there are Game Wardens everywhere! You have to be street legal to make that run. Stay off the dunes and anything green and they shouldn't bother you. I don't know if its been raining or not, but if it has then there will probably be mud and if it hasn't there shouldn't be any. If there is no mud and they aren't pumping mud onto the beach to reclaim it then it will be just like driving a hard packed trail.

I might be able to go on this run, depending on if I go back into my normal work schedule or not. (My crew is scheduled for their long nights that weekend).

I have been aching to make this run since I bought my JK in October, and since I am ordering my lift kit tomorrow I should hopefully have it installed in time to make the run!
