Default spring creek

A friend at my office just got an xterra and we are going to spring creek on sunday. Anyone else going and wanna meet up? If not can anyone tell me how to get to the beach area? Last time, well the only time i have been, i wasn't able to find it but i was also a little chicken to cross a water feature so i have no idea whats on the other side and its killing me.

Yeah, you have to be very careful of "puddles" at Spring Creek.

They look very innocent, but can swallow your entire rig.

My coworker bailed on me but i went anyway, it was very dry. it looked so different than the last time i was there i was actually lost a lot of the time, but i did find the beach. used my new electronic sway bar disconnect for the first time as well and i had no idea how much of a difference that could make. Now all i need is a good air compressor so i can start airing down.

I bought a cheapo air compressor from Harbor Freight, it works fine.

Also you can air down @ the creek, just ask to use their compressor when you decide to leave.

Which one did you get Justin? I was thinking about the little $70 Smittybuilt for now, I like the ARB V-twin compressor with a tank too. I'm considering a VAIR system as well because I want a tank for a diesel horn, tired of this pansy Jeep horn.

I cannot even remember which one I got. Remind me tomorrow and I'll take a look.

Ended up riding the bike in tonight, feels like I'm riding a missle compared to the JK.

i was thinking of the smittybilt compressor as well, 4wheel drive parts has it for 59.99 right now. I like the fact that it can be mounted just in case i feel like i wanna do that later. Also it comes with a carrying case and a longer coiled hose. but comparing that to cheepo one from harbor freight for 7.99. that's a hard decision and there aren't much in the way of specs on it on the website so also hard to compare. then again i am running stock tires so hopefully it won't take as long as you guys with the big mamajama tires.

LOL, I hear ya, well I bet that little Smitty takes a while on these 35s too. Doubt I'll mount mine, real estate management on these JKs, especially 2-drs are prime. If I had a mounted C02 tank or compressor in the back of mine I'd never have been able to stuff (25) 20 lb bags of red cedar mulch in the Rubi this weekend , 21 in the back (no seat) and 4 in the pass seat

the plus for me of the harbor freight unit is the fact it can plug into the cigarette lighter an not only to the battery. I'm pretty sure i'll never mount the compressor, well not until i make the commitment to total hardcore and i don't think that will ever happen. at least until i get another car for a daily driver and at the last exchange rate that was 8 years. then again i think I'll do lockers sooner or later, how will i turn them on/off without air? are they all air actuated? just get a CO2 tank? they are expensive though and you can't run air tools, not that the HF or smitty can either. OMG who would have ever thought that there would be so many decisions to make about an air compressor? If i had a million dollars to spend on this jeep i think i would run out before i was finished.
