Default TEXAS DOT Regulation on side Mirrors?

Anybody know if Texas lets you drive with no side mirrors? Can you have just one, or do you need two? Anybody know?

You are only required to have one rear view mirror in Texas.

Good question, here in League City a friend of ours who is a police officer explained to us that if the doors are made to remove like ours then it's fine. It's a pain without them though, kinda looks goofy too. There are a ton of $20 mirror mods or really cheap pre-built mirror brkts you could buy rather than worry about the legality of it.

You are required to have one mirror, which all is resolved in your Rear View Mirror!

I got slightly larger ones and used velcro, gave me a little better view. I don't use the vents when the doors are off

Just the information I was looking for. Headed out for some velcro and a pair of spot mirrors!
