west texas meet and greet
so...
anybody out in west texas/permian basin (midland, odessa, andrews, big spring, monahans and surrounding communities)?
if so, i was thinking we should have a local 'meet and greet' so that we can try to get a permian basin group going and trade contact info so that we can get some local trail rides planned.
at minimum it would be nice to know who the local jk forum members are around here
anybody out there??
(there used to be a couple local off road clubs years ago but they never did anything but make a few windshield stickers. and the lonestar jeep club guys are all from the dfw. theres an
el paso group, but hell, they might as well be in california bc thats a good 9-10 hour round trip)

just spoke to rocky, who owns mad house fabrication here in midland
he said the west texas jeep club has dissolved over the past several years and hasn’t met in over 2 years but that his shop still does stuff for local jeep guys all the time
I’m going to swing by his shop on saturday to talk about installing 5:13’s and lockers and was going to get some contact info for the local guys who still 4wheel and then see if we can get something going again
anyone interested, let me know and we can get a date set to all meet up

Not too many around here. If you want to make the trip, Canadian River near Amarillo is always good. There is a place down by Post as well. Though today I am very glad for my Detroit's in this snow and ice.

Hey everyone!
We’re starting a new club out in West Texas (Midland/Odessa Area)
We’re calling ourselves “West Texas Crawlers”
"Based out of Midland, Texas, West Texas Crawlers is a community of like-minded four wheel drive enthusiasts who love driving over stuff with big tires out in the desert.”
Anyone out in our neck of the woods, please feel free to join.
We’re getting organized right now, and have a lot of jeep fans who are on board.
We’ll be exploring local off road trails, grabbing beers occasionally and probably hanging out in each others shops and driveways after we break stuff on our rigs.
