Default Xenon narrow flares - Texas inspection

Has anyone installed the Xenon narrow flares and had a Texas annual state inspection done? Have you had any trouble getting the jeep inspected with the tires sticking out several inches? I would like to get rid of my loose stock flares and install a set of narrow Xenon flares but I am afraid they may not pass because the tires will stick out 3" or 4".

you guys in FL should know, they are probably stricter there than here in TX.

Don I have the narrows, my inspection isn't until Sep, not sweating inspection, wheel coverage, etc.

To me it is one more way for the state to tax me.

If I go ahead and get the flares I will keep the stock flares just in case.

You'd be hard pressed to put the stockers back on I can promise you that , once you go through the labor of installing these it's just...ehhh you'll see. Not a bad install don't get me wrong, but I put mine on, though for a bit, wasn't sure I liked them, decided to put my stocker front back on and ended up throwing that flimsy stock POS across the front yard.

I see a lot of older Jeeps with no fenders at all, and they are getting inspected. don't think we have the same issue with tires sticking out that they do in some areas of the country

I haven't been able to find where Texas has a fender law for non commercial vehicles.

It is perfectly legal in Texas to have no fenders. You will have no problem with inspections.

I am jealous of Florida for sure. Inspections are such a hassle...and expensive.
