This is priced less than other Jeeps so I’d like to provide some backstory. I purchased this new in 2008 and daily drove it until 2012. After that, I only drove it occasionally and took it rock crawling every chance I got. In 2016 I started grad school and just haven’t had time for it since then. I’m now about to start a fellowship and don’t feel that I will have time for it in the foreseeable future.

This Jeep is not in perfect condition so I’m selling it cheaper knowing that this will not be a daily driver without some work. I do think it would do well off-road, especially if trailered. I will do my best to list known issues below as I can.

Current status:

-          2008 Wrangler Rubicon 2 door black with 6-speed manual

-          69k miles

-          Title in hand

-          Runs well although needs a jump to start

-          Top is in good condition, no known leaks

-          <100 miles on oil change, 18 months ago

-          Minimal rust on the body although there is a fair amount underneath, including the upper portion of the shocks

-          5 spare tires on stock wheels included

-          2 stock rear axle shafts included

-          Mirrors for when doors are off included

-          Engine oil changed every 3-5k with Mobile 1 full synthetic

-          Differential fluid changed after every water crossing

Mods:

-          3” lift

-          35” Nitto Terra Grapplers

-          4:88 gears front/rear

-          Aftermarket rear axle shafts

-          Rhino lined interior without carpet

-          Trektop

-          MBRP Exhaust

-          Dual battery kit (only one battery installed)

-          Chopped front bumper

-          Chopped fenders (rear not installed as I can’t find clips to reinstall them)

-          Poison Spyder rear bumper

-          High Lift jack

-          Benchmark oil pan

-          Thicker front/rear differential covers

-          Seat covers front/rear

-          New clutch <1k miles ago

-          Rear corner armor with circular LED taillights

-          CB antenna (handheld potion of CB broke/removed)

Known issues:

-          Death wobble, usually above 35 MPH

-          Exhaust rusted off at the muffler exit so the exhaust tip is low – I think it could be welded back on but I’m not a welder

-          Driver seatbelt does not retract

-          Driver seat does not recline (stuck in position)

-          Steering wheel airbag recall has not been completed

-          License plate light inoperable

-          Rear headrests removed

-          Undercarriage corrosion

-          Rear fenders not installed but are included

As far as I can tell, the death wobble, exhaust, and needing to jump at each start are the biggest issues. At this point, I do not know if the battery just needs to be replaced, if there is an alternator issue, or if there is an electric issue causing the battery to deplete. If these issues were to be corrected, I think it would be fine on the road but you will need to determine that.
