Detroit locker??
I forgot to say that under normal driving conditions you'll have a clunk or pop every now and then and it will most likely scare the piss out of you the first couple of times it happens. This is totally normal and it is nothing to worry about. Check out this write-up for a little more info:

Thanks for all the information! I am looking around the area to find anybody that could be running a detroit... Just ordered my gears today so I am hoping to get information soon! I will try to be patient regarding the install untill I get more information but that may be difficult! I also ordered an or-fab tire carrier so I guess I can focus on that for a bit!!

Coming from up north in the land of more snow than we get here I will tell you that you will be ok with a Detroit. I've seen plenty of them run without any problems. I had a Detroit locker in the rear and a Detroit Tru-Trac in the front of a Toyota on 38s and had no problems. The longer wheelbase of your 4dr will help compensate for the squireliness that can come from an automatic locker. Might be a little noisy but like all things that make the Jeep better off road, you'll get used to it.
