Default Just following Shane's lead with newbee post

Hey guys, my name is Ron Shinault. I live in Herculaneum, MO. I just got my first Jeep at the end of November. I went for it with the Rubicon. I wasn't sure if I would get into offroading but after having to endure the ride quality I figure I better get my moneys worth. I am going to mod it out slowly but am not sure I want to lift it or go with bigger tires yet. I have a 120,000 mile warranty that i'm not wanting to void just yet. I am going to be getting a winch, steps with new rock rails, and a few other goodies though. I'm confident that as a beginner the Rubicon will be enough for the areas I will be going. I won't be experienced enough for a while to do extreme wheelin so extreme mods won't be necessary.

I'm sure I will be on here quite often considering I don't know many people with Jeeps yet and I don't know the good spots to play at. I'm probably going to have a ton of questions along the way also.

Thanks in advance any help you guys provide. Just ordered my first "mod" also, the area sticker. Can't wait to get them put on!

Welcome to the forum. If you get a chance, look in the Midwest lift/fender trim party thread and see if you can make it out. There should be a couple of JK's out and you can see us tear into them. We will be starting at 1000 on Saturday on Fort Leonard Wood.

I would love to but unfortunately I have to work Saturdays. Normally I would just take a vacation day or something since we're slow but can't this year. I already used all of last years and this years vacation during November and December while recovering from surgery. But i'll definately find something that's going on on a Sunday and make it out to meet some of you guys.

Welcome! I'll try to keep you in mind if we have any rides that go both Saturday and Sunday. I'm sure there will be some when the weather turns nice again.
