Default K-Rock

I'm a newbie to the JK world, but I use to wheel in high school (10 years ago). We did the stuff you're not suppose to do, but we were kids.

I have a stock '08 unlimited (upgrades are in the future) and want to do some wheeling. I have heard and read about k rock and was wanting some info from those who go there.

Questions:
If I stick to the green trails with my stocker, will I be ok?
What kind of things should I take with me (tow straps, high lift jack, etc...)?
How busy is it on the weekends?
I live in Lenexa, KS, how bad is the drive?
Where can I get gas when I am down there?

I would go to the newbie event they are putting on, but I will be out of town.

I bought my Jeep so I can go play, not be a JOCO yuppie. I need to have some fun.

You may want to post this in the Mid West section, you might get more local people checking it out.

Welcome to the site...I am going to the event next weekend...this will be my first time to go to Kansas Rocks...so, I can't answer your specific questions.

I live in Leavenworth. Take a look at this thread...as well as the mid-west section...

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/mid-west-52/kansas-city-jk-club-kansas-rocks-19-20-apr-33502/

As for things you have to have...the only thing that is a must is a tow strap...

My post here has been bumped around a couple of times, but I guess it ended up in the right spot.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I'm going to try and make it out there in the next couple of weeks. Anything anyone else can tell me would be appreciated.
