Default Kansas City Area Kansas Rocks Run

The date for the Kansas Rocks run is going to be Aug 22. Was originally going to go on the 21st but scheduling conflicts arose with the provider of JK parts cash flow (work). The plan is to meet at Target on 151st by HWY 69 in Olathe at 0800 and head down to Kansas Rocks near Ft Scott from there. I will be there at 0745 and on channel 4 for those of you with CB in your rig. YES your STOCK JK can make this trip so don't worry that if you don't feel that you're "built" enough. It's a Jeep and made for the dirt (QZ, you know I'm talking about you!) so bring it out and see what it can do!

See you there!

Lunch, plenty of water, recovery gear (if you have it, if not no worries), bug repellent for ticks.... can't really think of much else..... Oh yeah, scratch remover! Here's a link to KanRocks website... http://ksrockspark.com/

It looks like it costs $10 to get into the park. Nick - are you going to be able to make it?

I am planning on going! Depending on what shape my Jeep is in by this weekend (lifted or not) would anyone let me ride in their Jeep once we get to KS rocks?

btw, How long is the drive from KC to Ks rocks?

There isn't much in the park a stock jeep can't do. From Olathe I think it was like 85 miles.

There should be room in mine if, for any reason, you don't want to take yours. With you being an experienced wheeler, you can help me navigate lines!

It's 10 bucks for a daily pass. I wish I would have gotten an annual pass, it would have been cheaper. I need to check if the annual pass is good for the year, or a year from the date you pay for it. It'd be kind of stupid to buy a 2010 pass in August, unless they prorate.
