local 4x4 shops.
like the title says, what are some good, or let me refrase that. GREAT local 4x4 shops that do gear installs..?
i'm thinking come the first of the year/spring time i will have enough cash saved up that i can finally get a gear swap done. i hate having soo many freaking downshifts when driving down the interstate. it's rediculous... so name some shops and prices if you could. don't give second rate shops either, i mean we are talking about our babies here, or that's how i view my rig.
thanks!

no doesn't have to be joplin. local as in i would consider ne where in the 4 state area within reasonable driving distance. i mean considering that my jeep would be down for a day or 2 for the gear instal. kc would be reasonable...

think the wife would be up for a road trip/weekend stay.

In Kansas City you need to call Mike Burns @ JP-Evolution. He did my gears and he has worked on a ton of Jeeps and several JK's as of recent. Very reasonable on prices too.
His # is 913 - 499 - 0055

He has done some other work on my jeep as well, but I think now all he is doing is differentials. You can always call him for more information.
I would check with Custom Differentials in Bloomsdale Mo, just up 55 from you. Hit up Howdy on the forum. I beleive he had a good experience with them for a reference. Howdy is in Poplar Bluff.
