Default Mini JK Meet 101

So I'm a new member to this forum and am experiencing owning my first Jeep. I had not been able to take the top off due to my lady's lack of muscle. My buddy Sparx who is also a new member and also just purchased his JK drove down from Bartlesville to assist in building my budget roof hoist. Total money spent was around $30. Ii've seen alot better ones on here, but I live in an apartment and didn't want to go all out. Anyways, we got the job done in about 45 minutes, took down a few cold ones, and I got to take a few pics.

My JK.

Sparkx's JK.

Default Nice Job

The only thing I suggest is keeping an eye on those straps. I have a set of those and I had them "let go" on me a couple of times. I was lucky it was not with anything important.
Great job!

Yeah, it's awesome having the top hanging on the ceiling. If I had a little bit more space I'd probably put it on the ground after removing it with the hoist so I wouldn't have to worry about the top falling on my Jeep on day.

Great job!
I know what you mean. I had some old tie downs, but bought the new ones for the same reason. Not saying it can't happen with the new straps, but there's better hope I guess. I'll probably look into something better soon.

I'm Owasso. NE of Tulsa. It's a Case and Associates apt. Those guys have apartments every where around here. Most look the same too. He might live in a C&A apt too.
