Missouri Fender trim/lift party - Jan 10th 10am @ Ft. Leonard Wood
1. What would be good dates for everyone?
It's only 10 min from my house, so I am pretty flexible on date, prefer a weekend.
MOWranger - I prefer a saturday as well. However, December may kinda suck for me, so you guys pick a date and I'll do my best. I know I will be out of town the Saturday after Christmas, and the OJT christmas party is the evening of the 6th.
2. Army how long do you think we should rent a bay for? Like 8am till 1 or 2?
You can just get a bay and use it until you are done. I would say guesstimate 4 hours for a lift, I don't know about fenders.
3. How booked up is it in December. Or would we need to wait till January?
I dont know what their holiday schedule is. I have to call tomorrow.
4. Would a week day or a weekend day be better for everyone? I can take a vacation day so it doesn't matter for me.
Weekend or day after a holiday for me.
Weekend for me.
5. Another question: big A said he would give me his shocks from a rustys lift, would it be better to use those or my stock shocks?
Depending what lift you have, you will need longer shocks or extenders.
Those were the shocks from my old kit. They ought to work OK for any 2.5" kit if you are trying to save some $$.
6. Can you drink at the shop armycop or do we need to find another place to drink after? I am just talking about having a couple beers while we work, towards the end more likely.
No alcohol in the shop, it's a gov't building.
7. Do I need to by wheel spacers too????? I read in a thread about the coil lift some are saying I will need the spacers for stock wheels?? I may not have that much money right before xmas?
Not sure, each lift is different. The spacers look good and push the wheels out further giving you 3" of extra track width, I would go for them anyway it will look less "tipsy".
I ran without spacers on my Rusty's lift every time I wheeled with it and didn't have many problems. They could rub at full flex, but weren't bad and you could run for a while without them. If you know how to change a tire, you could easily add the spacers later.

ME - Great I was worried I wouldn't even be able to drive back to st. louis with out spacers on, I will make sure I buy spacers before I wheel it.
We will see what dates Armycop has available, and find a date that works for everyone. I am looking forward to meeting some people and hanging out, plus the extra help.
Now we are;
cutting my fenders and bumpers
and
putting on my spring lift
and
cutting Army's fenders
and
putting on Big A's skid plates too
Armycop where could we go and drink a few brews when we are done, I will bring a couple bottles of wine for our wives to drink while the boys glote about our accomplishments and stare at our jeeps.
