Thumbs up Mount Rushmore Road Trip From Iowa!!!

Hey guys and gals,
I'm currently in Des Moines, IA and i'm looking to make a road trip in my JK from here to , SD by the end of April beginning of May. I was wondering if anybody had any input on what's the best scenic route or what to do on the way, I'm also planning on visiting the Badlands National Park while I'm there, I don't know if this a good time to go but that's the only time I have available since I'm moving to the East Coast in June. If possible I will be doing some camping on this trip. Thanks in advance for any input on this.

Hey! I am up here in Minneapolis and I made this trip the first weekend I got my jeep. Figured it was the furthest place I could trekk and enjoy myself; besides taking the wrangler out on some fun climbs. The drive there through I90 was.... bland to say the least. Every once in a while you see a tree sometimes a rock but once you get there... the country pops to life like you were just dropped into the mountains. Lots of great trails and dirt roads to play on.

Left kinda late on a friday so spent the night in the jeep at some rest stop with the girl (I just fit diagnally with the back seats out)

Sorry for the late reply, by have you made your trip yet? If you'd be interested, I am the vice president of the local club, we could get a few guys together and go on some trails out in the hills

CONEKLR thanks for the offer, but I had to cancel the trip because of work but I will have you in mind when I plan on making the trip. Thanks.
