Default New Jeep Owner- Omaha/CB Area

Hey everyone,

My name is Chris and I'm located in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. I bought a 2007 Wrangler X three months ago and I love it. Took the doors off today for the first time actually.

Looking to do a 2" budget lift later this summer and getting side steps soon. Paying this thing off is the main goal right now.

Let me know if you're in my area or what you think!
Thanks!

Haven't checked if it's legal to go mirrorless on the sides, but I figure I'll be fine for a day or two.

Welcome! I am about an 100 miles straight north of ya. For a mirror, swing by your local harley shop and get one for about $20. You will have it on in 30 seconds and be set.

That's a pretty good idea thanks! Any good places to go wheelin in your area? I'm looking to do some easy stuff to start out with. Might make a weekend trip out of it this summer.

Welcome just a few miles east of C.B. No place to close Tuttle Creek down in Kansas I have not been yet but Just Jeep of Omaha has a web site and they make runs atleast once a month I am also going to try and make a run sometime this summer. I have been on their board for about a year. There is a wealth of knowledge and all are super guys. And I am sure they would love to have you tag along on a run and show you the ropes.

As far as mirror laws in Nebraska - all you need is one mirror. So you are fine without your doors (an side mirrors).

I run without doors whenever I get the chance - never had any trouble with the authorities.

Great to see another Omaha Jeep, I see a bunch of JK's at Offutt. I don't know how many are on the forums but we do need to try and get a run together since the weather is awesome now. Lets get a meet and greet together this coming weekend at a burger joint close by, my vote is either Stella's or maybe Fatburger.

I'm in Des Moines Saturday and Sunday, but Friday night would work for me. I've never been to either of those restaurants but I'm in!
