It is starting to look like I will be missing again, I won't know until last minute.

i am working on going as well. i go off of on-call for my job that thursday so i should be good to go. i live in marshall and am close enuff to drive up. dont know that i will make both days tho. i luv barnwell. last time i went up there several peeps stopped me and had to tell me that my rig was too nice to have on the trails. i think i need more scratches so that will stop.

I think I am going to go ahead and plan on going and just see who else can come and go.

I will post up here by Wednesday am what time and place etc with possible people and I will put my cell number in here then so we can get together.

 

I'm pretty sure you wont be alone - I heard LA4x4 is going to be wheeling there, but couldn't find it on their calendar.

Oh, and I'm still a maybe. There's a small outside chance I'll be able to come after all. Really depends on too many variables at this point though, so don't bet on it.

 

Here's what I was thinking I was maybe going to do.

I plan on being in Gilmer by dark on 12/31 and stay in a local hotel in Gilmer or possibly Longview if none available in Gilmer.


Friday am: meet up and try to get aired down around 9:30 and wheel by 10 to 10:30.
I plan on getting up and doing about 1/2 to 3/4 day or more of wheeling starting around 9-10 on Saturday as well.

I just made a reservation and will be staying at the Executive Inn in Gilmer.

He said their busiest night is usually Friday and they likely will get close to filling up but should still have a couple rooms by then.

I will be there tomorrow night at about 9-10 pm, and will be up and ready to wheel Friday am as mentioned in the previous post.
