OK bs
I have a copy of the book mentioned, as well as the map sold at the site where I bought the book. Lots of history and other interesting information, as well as tons of info on each mile of the route. Strongly recommended.
I think RK makes a oil pan that a lot of people are running and having good things to say......unless you really just want to wait a year to receive a product
Wonder if mark ever got his dual battery set up yet ? What sucks is BenchMark is a great product and I wanted to order a few things from them but I don't think I have the patience to wait 6 months to a year for something I need to install within 3 weeks

Several have expressed interest, but no one has committed. Are you certain a camper can make this trail? There are some short, technical sections, and lots and lots of sand. The dates are during school spring break (or at least what most of the state is calling spring break) so we can have the families along. According to the state DOE, that is March 19 to March 23.
Mark, consider the wife and myself as a strong "tentative" to make this trip.
As for the camper... I have been thinking about one of these two trail rated trailers pictured below for some time now. I will review the links to the park you have listed... but are you thinking these campers couldn't make the trail?
This looks like a really great place to offroad. Thanks for the invite!

I'm noting you as a tentative. Really wanting folks to fully commit by December or so. Would like a committed group of five or six Jeeps by then--not folks who are just "interested", but drop out in early March because their kid signed up for baseball camp or they forgot their mom's 50th birthday was that week. Pardon me for sounding harsh, but getting folks past the idea of the adventure, to really commit to something like this, is always a challenge.
