I am 6'6" too. Man somebody needs to start producing a seat relocator bracket for the JK...On a serious note maybe you could drill some ties on each side of the wheel and put some type of netting over it and tighten down on each side. and maybe put two tabs on the front and back and secure it down with some type of cable too. That would be a big object flying around if you got in an accident. Will it lay flat?

I had my standing up along the side behind the passenger seat in my 2 door....I used a ratchet strap to secure it to the side of the jeep using the provided holes along the body for the hardtop....Just some food for thought

I would lean it back just a little more on the seat, then I would find some cables or ratchet strap you can run through the spokes of the wheels, or the gap between the spokes...have some padding like a shoulder belt that you can use to surround the cable/strap where it is running through the wheel so it wont wear off the finish on the wheel, then secure the cables/strap on each side to the rollcage. it should hold it pretty sturdy i would think. Hope that made some sense.
