Good to hear you got it fixed, what did it turn out to be?
Wow... did I miss something... you guys planning another run as well?

I've currently got a mini and my wife is about to get here first Mac (she's a recovering Windows user
) she is thinking about the 13" MB Pro.
Congrats on the new Mac. Is this your first?Which one did you get, the 21" or 27"? Either way, those are some sweet machines.

I've been a Mac guy through and through since 2003. ...
Nothing stopping you from going with a Mac. At work we do all types of development, Windows, Linux, and just recently started work on an iPhone app. I do all of this (even the Windows stuff) from a MacBook Pro. I use VirtualBox to load up Windows in a VM. Works pretty darn good.

By the time I added up the faster processors, more memory, and bigger hard drive, it wasn't much more, so I got the 27. HOLY FREAKING COW!!!! IT'S HUGE!!!! I love it though.
I have a couple of HD video projects of my kids with soccer and basketball I'm working on. Uploading one to youtube right now, but it's a big file so will take awhile.
I just have to keep my 10 and 7 year olds off of it so I can play with it. They know how to do a bunch on it.
Trust me, I've been a Mac guy from around 1995 when I started working for them and realized what a Mac is all about. But in the current scope of work, when I have to work on web apps for around 10 - 12 hours a day, and it won't work in Safari, Chrome or Firefox, I just don't see the point of having a Mac and running VMWare Fusion for the entire time just to run Internet Explorer. Plus, some of our dated DMS software run TN3270 emulation - hard to map those keys on the Mac

With kids around the house make sure you get a second HD and setup Time Machine. No telling how many times a document goes missing (because some small hands decided to delete something) and I've had to use Time Machine to bring it back from the dead.
I guess I'll be the lone voice to say I run Windows 7 (on a Falcon Northwest Mach V) and love it. I also have an Android phone (Nexus S) running raw Android (not a phone company version). I don't do Apple. It's a religious thing with me. <G>

And yep, that's exactly what my sentiments were - since over 90% of my time on the computer will be spent using IE, I'll never reap any of the benefits of having a Mac.
. I run Windows 7 on my laptop as well, but only because the work applications won't run on anything else but Internet Explorer
. And the Android - well, have that too on the Droid, but while everyone seems to rave about Android, I've had nothing but issues out of the thing.

) and we can do lunch as well.
