Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, just north of Lawton. Manoj can literally be there in about 10-15 minutes. It takes us about 1-1/2 hours. More info ...

I am literally out there every weekend and most weekdays, great fishing out there. Couple dozen minnows can go quick too.
Good hiking as well, pretty nice to drive 10 minutes and feel like your hundreds of miles away from home.
the LETRA dam any time after 6:30 is amazing fishing. There are times i cant keep 2 minnows out of the water. I usually fish about 15 to 20 feet deep. Catch largemouth, walleye, crappie, and the occasional very large sunfish lol.
Worst part is the height of the dam. It sits about 15 foot above the water so when you get anything over 5 lbs its wise to get it close to the surface and walk it all the way to the edge of the dam. In my excitement i've let a few over 6 break my line by trying to pull them up the side of the dam.
shit, i'm about to start my vacation now and go home and get my gear!
i think i will own this by the end of the summer too. This will give me another reason for onboard air no?
