Original Recipe!
Legs and thighs, legs and thighs.

Default Hinge rust

I was getting rust stains from my hinges. I took them off and there was no paint behind them. I took some sand paper and roughed it up then rattle can some on both sides.

I do not believe that any of them are painted from the factory.

The reason TORN is experiencing rust is because the '07s used a different type of metal for the hinge than the door, and (don't quote me, I'm not chemist) apparently disimilar metals are conducive to rusting.

I believe the newer (08+) JKs use the same metal, but are still not painted.

If I am not mistaken

Looking good. What kind of paint did you use BTW?
