OK bs
Looking at Currie and Dynatrac at the moment. I'm still atleast a year away from doing anything, unless something happens. I was doing the same thing the other day, and not counting old stuff, I have around $8K tied in the JK right now - that's for ALL the mods, labor paid, etc. so far. I could buy the axle and have that much in just one item
. I may have to wait till a next generation of Wranglers come out, and the JK parts become like the TJ and YJ and get affordable again.

i was debating on the draglink flip but I can always flip it if i need to since their draglink ends can be taken out and replaced / flipped. just have to get the tapered insert from northridge. but as of now the jeep is solid and drives correct...i haven't had to grit my teeth going over bumps since a few days of installing the parts
I totally hear ya on that.
Mark posted a thread a while back about USAA changing the way they cover modified vehicles. They used to cover EVERYTHING 100%, so long as you had reasonable proof it was on your vehicles (receipts, etc).... Apparently they are changing their system so that they only cover a certain dollar amount. I guess you have to buy a writer for a higher coverage level.
Well... considering USAA is who I have our insurance through, I figured I might as well tally up the damage... (again, excluding items no longer on the Jeep and wear items) I am look at just a hair over $7K

I think I might need to lay off the mods... and just when I was thinking about buying my rear TF D44 diff cover and lube locker

I think of it this way...without some of the mods i couldn't go some of the places we go or do 1/3 of the things we accomplish when wheeling our rigs. it is an investment, jeeps hold their value and anything you add to it raises the value to some people and lowers it to others. my 65' gto was an investment that i could have borrowed money against to put my daughter through college and still would have sold it for the same price regardless.

Even with the cost of the rider, it still would likely be cheaper insurance than through some other plans.
I have a few riders on our home insurance with them and it is still well under the premiums of some other competitors. Thanks Dad for being in the Service!!!!
Well, better start looking at mine too. I'm with USAA and hadn't had a worry up until now, cause that's what I understood that they covered it all. Do you have his thread link?

It looks like the cap is now $5K.... guess my insurance is about to go up, if I need to buy extra coverage
Yeah, we have all our insurance through USAA... cheapest insurance I've EVER seen. My wife's father served, and we got it via him. Can't beat it.
torn, you have me hooked, I've been watching more of these guys videos and he just said "dingle arm". I believe he may have been talking about the arm that is used to attach a ball cock shank washer!?!?!?!?!?

it is like a car wreck...you don't want to look but you can't quit starring
