OK bs
The fourth one I worked at the hardest. He was really mired in a snow bank with a small, front wheel drive car. First guy trying to help him said he was high-centered and would have to wait for the snow to melt. LOL. He left, telling someone else that stopped to offer assistance his opinion, driving away a third possible person to push.
The stuck vehicle driver told me he had called roadside assist. I figured who could tell how long he'd be waiting in weather like this. So I got out my shovel and dug out in front of all four wheels. Stuck some boards under the two front wheels. A few other folks stopped and offered help, but all would disappear in a few minutes--guess none were interested if they couldn't just yank him out (I could just see that flaky plastic front end ripping off). Anyway, after about fifteen minutes we got him moving and as he was pulling forward I yelled at him, "Don't stop, keep going until you get home!" He just waved and kept on his way. I hope he made it. Went back to my Jeep and stowed the shovel and resecured the axe on the hood, and lo and behold as I was backing out I saw a tow truck behind me, waiting to see if I was stuck and had called roadside assist. LOL.
i've had the outside camera's up on the monitors all morning, its funny to see how people get stuck. A lot of them dont carry any momentum into snow banks. Several cars have gotten stuck 3 or 4 times just trying to leave our parking lot. I'm guessing there are tons of cars a mile or so down the road all stuck on the same snow bank wondering wtf happened.
I couldn't take money knowing that most people have kids to take care of and in these economic times would send me on a guilt trip, and I would like to think if i got stuck that someone wouldn't leave me stranded over money
but offering food is a different story
Plastic pieces flying wouldn't be good ( like the video you posted LOL ) . I do need to get a shovel mount for sure. Sounds like you had a busy morning Mark, and I am sure those people are telling people about their hero of the day driving up in a nice jeep and helping them out
They are showing the tow trucks on the news here and they say to give them some extra time to get to people that called in and the ambulance service has top priority over anyone the next few days.

Alright, the generator company is called Generac. You have to have an electrician and plumber install it. We had Faith Eletric install it for us, then the Plumber because of the natural gas line. then you have to have the city come out and inspect it. It is a little bit of a hassle, but worth it in the long run.
I finally got done working so now i get to go play out in the snow with the jeep and see if i can find some people to help out get unstuck!

. I passed by Ft. Sill Apache Casino twice today on the way to SE 45th St to pick up my wife's colleague for the Red Cross Shelter they have set up. Was keeping my eyes out for your JK but I didn't see it.
. I've been busy drawing snow angels on the road trying to get under these vehicles to find a good spot to tether the strap onto. Rescued a couple of people on the way to his house that were blocking the road. Then a couple more just a few minutes back. I just can't see why some people would be out on the roads knowing very well the conditions, much less in little Toyota Corolas and minivans
.
Did notice the most amount of Jeeps out on the road today for sure. Seem to be among the only vehicles that continue to keep running

Hard to notice though as it is pretty stock ;[
I decided i'm going to get at least a front bumper and possibly a winch with my tax refund though. Thinking PSC front bumper, but not sold yet. I know it is an abomination in most people's eyes but i kinda like the wild boar front bumper. It is a bit much though, even for my taste
PSC makes a great bumper. Wild boar makes some awesome products, but it's like you said - some of those look like overkill. Both make great products - good quality.
Finding stuck people should be no trouble at all. I'm up to six rescues, and two half-rescues (assisted someone else at the scene). And I've driven all of eight miles.
People, people, people (not you, fellow Jeepers, but people in general). If the weather is going to give you misery, then there can be only one cure ...

Help a great American company: Buy a Jeep! Read through this thread. Does it sound like anyone is miserable? We're all enjoying the heck out of the first decent weather we've had this winter!
