Ok planning the parade float for the downtown 2012 St. Louis St. Patricks day parade!
Hello everyone,
Well I have GREAT news! Our JK's won best Community float out of over 130 different floats!!! They loved the JK's!!!!
We have already been asked to participate again this year!!!!
I was thinking of doing a group of JK's again. The parade will be on Saturday March 17th at 12noon I can only let 12 or so jeeps be in it so please plan ahead and ask off and make arrangements with me. I had 4 jeeps the day of the event try to join us and it is just too late, we ended up with 12 very nice JK's to represent last year. I will have to give those 12 first priority to go again this year. **update 12.2.2011** I already had 2 peeps tell me they sold their JK's since last year so if you want in now is the time to save a spot!!!
If you did not go last year and would like to please post up hear and you will be first string replacement for people who won't be able to make it this year.
If you would like to attend with your JK please post up here and let's start getting out list of JK's together!
Some of you returned the signs we had made made last year for the Jeeps and some didn't so please look through your stuff and see if you still have them or not. I will need to order a few new ones and get them made before March. The signs are around 30 bucks a piece so it is very little cost. We also were a little short on beads last year so if anyone would like to donate some money for beads I get them really cheap.
Well thanks and I hope we get a great group together again and we all have a blast.

**** Here are some details I posted from last year for those who have never heard of it****
Who: The Charity is an Autism Services provider it is one of the largest in Missouri.
When: March 17th - meet up around 9-10 am and the parade starts around 11:30
Where: I have done this for a few years and some of us usually meet up earlier for beer and eggs at Hammerstones in soulard to start our St. Pats Holiday off the right way so if anyone wants to meet earlier please post that.
Rules: No drinking on the parade route and who ever the driver is needs to be sober! There will be plenty of drinking before and after to enjoy!
Cost: I will need each Jeep to be sponsored, it will be $25 bucks per Jeep to pay for the signs (I will have them made) that will go on each side of your vehicle and they will need the signs when the parade is over to use for other events or next year, and on the bright side if we do the same thing with jeeps next year and you buy the signs this year you will not have to buy them again next year. The beads are paid for so there should be no other costs, other than what you buy yourself.
Details: Beads cannot be thrown from vehicles. They have to be placed around the neck or handed to spectators. I usually give them to all the kids. You need to have a driver for your jeep and if anyone you bring or if you bring a driver and would like to pass out beads, we typically walk along and pass beads the entire route as we walk.
Here are some pics from last year!

Even cops were drooling over our convoy!!!

We had a great time thanks alot for helping me put this together!!
