Default Is Canyonlands Nation Park regularly patrolled by NPS?

Later this month will be my first trip to Canyonlands and, unfortunately, we moved a bit too late for campsite reservations in the more popular areas. Does the NPS patrol the backcountry routinely? I'm just wondering if we find ourselves short of one of our reserved spots and not anxious to press on, whether we'll get cited for camping along the trail? Also, do they enforce the no-campfire rule?

I'm not planning on flaunting the regulations; I just want to know what to expect and whether, under the circumstances, I can avoid a citation.
