EJS 2016 - First Time - Advice Needed
I would like to get out to EJS for 2016 and I would appreciate some advice.
I'll be driving from Ohio, so staying the entire time is not possible.
I wheel mostly blue to mild black trails, as my rig isn't quite capable of much else until I get lockers.
I have two key questions:
1) If I was only able to spend 3 days onsite, what 3 days would you recommend?
2) Where is a good, yet inexpensive, place to stay?
Looking forward to making the trip!

Spend the last 3 days there and go to the raffle Friday night at the arena. If you sign up for a trail you get a ticket. There is about 200k worth of prizes! Also other than camping there is no inexpensive lodging that week.

Yes, you need to be there to win. Last year when I was there as a first timer, I was amazed at the quantity of prizes. I figured out the number and about half of everyone that had a ticket won something. Not bad odds for a free drawing.

You definitely want to be there for the vendor show at least one day! We, JK-Forum, usually have a hand full of sponsored runs and 2016 as it's the 50th year anniversary will be much the same! I've already got some of the irons in the fire but usually we don't have things locked in until Dec/Jan time frame but if I were a newbie to Moab EJS and I wanted to maximize my experience I'd be there Wed.-Fri. and leave Sat. So just for clarification.... the "show" is Friday and Saturday? The raffle is Friday? If we aren't going to be there for a run, can we still sign up and get raffle entries? Just curious as I have a townhouse reserved Thursday thru Thursday so I'll most likely miss all the planned runs, but I don't want to miss any of the good stuff at the show.
