Well I don't think it's to much higher than I would of guessed for the reasons mentioned in previous posts. If they are estimating 20 hrs for the lift based on the manufacturer that is probablly a little high if they have experience with the lift. I'm wondering how they plan to squeeze in the c gussets. They first need to clean off the axle grinding any crap off and then prep by moving stuff out of the way. Overall, that will take time without causing to much heat to damage parts around it. you can do it without moving much but it is obviously easier to drop the axle.

Noticed 4wheelparts is offering 25% off installs. Does the $1900 labor cost reflect the 25% off?

I bet you would have to buy the lift from them. I purchased the lift from Tera Flex (Joe) here on the forum.

So how about $1,100? Offroad Outfiters is doing it to include the C Gussets, Lift and alingment. I'll pay that to also get a warranty on the work they do! Thanks JoeBlob for the recommendation. They have also done the lift, have a tech that worked for Tera Flex and said it would on take about 16 hours.

It took bruised and I about 16 hours for his weld on rockkrawler lift. We didn't work hard at all, 1100 isn't bad. I know if I was charging it would be atleast that. It's alot if work for a long arm Lift

Buy a welder and a torch, and let your friend help. Afterwards you'll have experience and a new welder and torch and money left over.

The best thing about doing your own lift is knowing how it works so you can do repairs whenever i.e trail or roadside. Otherwise the satisfaction when your done is pretty nice.

Agreed. Perfect time to buy a welder and learn.
