Default 07' JK problem

Ok so this is my first posting. So forgive me if I am a little cherry.

I have a 07' JK with 3" Rough Country lift. I am currently deployed and my JK has been sitting up for a while. My wife went to drive it for maintenance purposes. When she put it in gear (reverse stick shift) it would not move. Now the obvious is E brake disengaged answer yes! Finally with a last ditch effort my father dropped it in 4L and tried to get it to budge with no luck. So now I am about to redeploy and cant get my Jeep back to my house. Any knowledge on how to trouble shoo this would be great.

I did see where some people are saying it may be ESP setting? any thoughts?

Chock front tires, trans in neutral, jack up rear end, and try to spin tires by hand. Repeat for the front. Check to see if brakes are seized. Check diffs, fluid, excess noise and so on. Hard to guess with out being there. But been in your situation so trying to help.

Well here is the deal I got my wife trying to trouble shoot the problem. She is a good sport but doesn't know much about jeeps. My dad who is an old school mechanic tried to trouble shoot it and looked a some of the things i.e. fluids and such. While on R & R I had it serviced from front to rear everything checked out great.

So in further research I found a lot of things relating to the ESP. One of the things I had done was used my AEV Procal module to set adjustments for the lift and tires. Once I got back to the sand box the battery went dead. I think this may have zeroed out my Procal???

As far as the E-Brake and seized brakes Dad dropped it in 4L and popped it to try to break it loose if it was brakes or E Brake I think but not sure that this would have resulted in some result maybe positive maybe negative LOL.

I really appreciate your feedback it got me thinking about possibilities. Let me know what you think.

Will not move, as in bound up, rpms pull down when trying to move? Transfer case either in neutral, engine revs no movement or in between gears, rpms pull down and no movement. Maybe?

I think you're going to have go through this logically and methodically. I'd start by putting the transfer case in neutral and try pushing the Jeep just to see if it'll roll. If it does, I would look at the transmission or transfer case for the problem. If it doesn't, I would then try jacking up each corner of the Jeep to see if the wheels will spin freely.

Having said that, it sounds like a frozen parking brake to me. Even though the hand brake may appear to release the shoes may still be bound up in the rotor hat. I had this happen on my Jeep Liberty. The lining on the parking brake shoes separated from the shoes and jammed inside the rotor hat.
