100% go with 5.13. I have 4.88's with 32.5 inch tires and love it. If I ran 35's I would want the 5.13's for sure.

4.88s and 35s. Im happy but a little more would of been nice. 5.13 or 4.88 are nice improvement over stock no matter what you choose. Glad i went with 4.88s b/c of new heavy toyos going on soon.

Just got a quote from the stealership. For new front and rear axles re gear to 5.13s and a tow package they want $2,700.00. It would also keep my trans warranty in tact. So they say! Any thoughts on price

That price is way too much.

I think even 4WP (which overcharges IMO) here, is about $1500.

There is even a local guy here who does gears out of his garage for $850 OTD.. His reviews are 50/50 though. But that is pretty cheap.

I'm sure you can find a much better deal, especially in CA.

My stealership wanted $2,300 just for the gear change. A local transmission and axle shop wanted $1,800. I will do gear change myself for $600.

NOTE: When you change gears it is VERY important you break them in right. No off-road or tow for first 500 miles. No over 60mph or driving more than 30 minutes without a cool-down for the first 100 miles. Crack open at 500 miles to inspect and replace fluid.

I think Offroad Evolution is still doing them for $999. Pretty decent savings for a such a short drive down to their shop.
