Default 1 1/2" wheel spacer/ESP problem

I want to get 1.5" spacers. I have a 07 jk X 2 door with a 4" teraflex lift. When I take corners slow or fast, my ESP brake system thingy makes the brake come on.... ESP OFF still activates on corners and makes the little sliding car light come on. Will 1 1/2 spacers help or hurt? Giving it better stability?

Are your axles and steering wheel centered?

Lifting causes the esp to be more finicky. The esp off button doesn't really turn it off, it's more of a 'partial' off. To disable it, follow the procedure in the manual.

It will also be more touchy if things aren't centered, as noted above.

They spacers won't help or hurt anything. What you need to do is get the ESP problem fixed. Three main things the check

1. Are your axles centered?
2. Is your steering wheel is centered?
3. Has your computer been reprogrammed to match your current gears and/or tire size?

Any of the above conditions being incorrect can cause your ESP to go nuts. Once the three conditions above are set properly, the computer can adjust the ESP to your setup. Either that or do a search for the steering wheel dance and disable the ESP all together. Simply pushing the button does not completely disable it, it only retards it a little

I had that problem when I lifted my jeep. As stated above check to make sure steering wheel is centered, mine was not. Took me about 10 minutes to get it centered.

Yea I guess I forgot to tell you guys that I'm runnin 37" tires. I know that's the reason. I bought it already lifted from dealer so axle or steering wheel is slim but thanks guys. I just got enough cash for a superchips programer, don't have it yet.
