i just went to goodyear to have my alignment checked and the guy told me i should take them off cause they arent safe to use? i havent had any problems with them yet and neither have my friends but i figured id get someone elses opinion

 

I've got them my Goodyear people suggested the Spidetrax brand.

and i dont even do that much offroading because there isnt many places to go by me so im on pavement 95% of the time

 

my buddy installed them while i was installing my lift in april.. i think he did an ok job cuz 5000 miles later or so and they're still doing well.. there can be issues if the loctite isnt used or everything isn't torqued down, and in one case someone on here did have the wheel bolts (not the spacer bolts but the ones that connect the spacer to the wheel) sheer off while driving. my take it as you will

 

X2...loctite and check torque every rotate and balance which for me will be every 3k...I run spidertrax with no issues. If they were that unsafe spidertrax and other manufacturers wouldn't be in business.

 

You happen to know the torque values?

 

straight from the spidertrax install sheet:

tighten adapter lug nuts in a criss-cross pattern to 80-90ft-lb. (same torque as the wheel lug nuts.) double check this torque after driving vehicle 50 miles.

 

If you are checking the torque you can break the seal that is provided by the red Loctite. If it moves at all you need to disassemble and reinstall the nuts with a new coat of red loctite.
