I did the daystar 1" lift with my 11yo. I used a pry bar and pried the bolts down. I was able to use all but 2 of the washers. Not sure i would strip the bolts as you still have to screw them back into the body. As far as jack points, I used a floor jack and 2 4x4s about long enough to fit between the two mount points between the doors. Once i got everything loose, I put a 2x4 between the tub and the frame so i wouldn't smash hands should something give way. About a 1 1/2 hour job. Fun to do. Great project with a willing helper...

Glad to hear the BL's on the JK aren't as bad as the one I put on my Ranger with a friend. We had 20 man-hours in that job. Absolutely ridiculous.
