Default 13.50" tire experience

Hi, i decide going from 12.50 tire to 13.50 but i worried about width....what is the real width about a 37/40 x 13.50 tires?which brand is the narrowest 37/40 x 13.50 tires?...now i fit perfectly 37x12.50 on 17x8 with 4.5 BS but with 13.50?clearance issue?

You'll prolly need to run a spacer to ensure clearance when turning lock to lock. A 13.5 wide tire will be about 14" wide give or take depending on brand. I run dynatrac axles which are 3" wider than stock so I have no issues with rubbing. Plus my atx slabs have 3.5" BS also

Aren't 17x8's a bit narrow for 13.50's? Seriously curious, not tryin to criticise

yes i'm thinking 8" wheel is too narrow for 13.50 but also 7" for 12.50..but i saw many out there....my 37x12.50 BF are effective 12"...maybe 13.50 will less than that?!

for front clearance i suppose to limit steering....

anyone run 13.50 for some input?!

Depending on your wheel backspacing you may have to run wheel spacers or adjust your steer stops. I run 37" x13.5 toyos with 4.50 backspaced rims. I was rubbing at full turn so I added some washers to the steer stop and have no more rubbing even at full stuff.

I think you will need wheel spacers to prevent rubbing. You should be OK with 13.5 on 8" wheels. I ran 14.5's on 8.5" wheels...if you go to the tire manufacturers websites you can compare the specs and see which tires may be a bit narrower.
