Default 15 or 16 inch wheels

I'm going to add a 2.5" lift with 33x12.5 tires. What size wheels and backspacing should I get?

4.25 to 5" seems to be what everyone is running.

I like the look of the 16's better, but the 15" rims and tires are less expensive if you're on a budget.

I went with a 16x8 with 5" BS rim and a 295/75/16 tire which is about 33.7".

The wheels stick out about an inch past the fender. If you like them to stick out more and don't mind the wheel spray, go with less backspacing.

I haven't had a chance to put my 2" lift on yet. So, no flex pics yet.

If you are running 33s, go with 15s. It is the right amount of sidewall for tire size, also is cheaper. From there, 35s on 16s, and 37s on 17s. I stick to this ratio, and have had pretty decent luck.

It drives fine with the tires and no lift. It does rub the air dam in reverse with the wheel turned all the way. I'm assuming it will rub the wheel well at full flex with out the lift. I haven't stuffed them yet. I'm gonna try to get the lift on Sunday and flex it out on a snow bank.

Can I run a 15x8 wheel with 33x12.5 tires? What is the bolt pattern?

So a 15 x 8 wheel will fit on the JK?? Cool. I've been shopping around for 16" wheels under the obviously mistaken impression that a 15" wheel would not clear the brake calipers, etc. but after seeing your pics and post, (nice looking wheels & tires), I'm thinkng of going with 15's: look great and saves money, my kind of comination. Thanks.
