Appropriately backspaced 15" rim saves you big $$ on tires, and increases tire flex for when you're crawling. Disadvantages? Probably less stable on the highway.

I got 15s with my 35s for more rubber. And more airdown power.

I'm going to get the Black Rock Type D 909b 15x8 wheels in matte black with 35x12.50R15 KM2s when my current tries wear out. I only have have about 5K to go so I may order soon.

I'll be ordering from Discount Tire Direct. They had the best prices.

Love my 15's.

Only disadvantage I see with the 15" wheels is that you are limited in choice if you want to go to a tire larger than a 35.

Since mine is a lifted Jeep on 37's, I really doubt there is any significant difference in on road stability/cornering as compared to a similarly clad Jeep with a 17" wheel. Keeping in mind too that it is a Jeep and not a Ferarri.

There's a larger selection to choose from. A majority of vehicles on the road today run 15's or 17's from the factory.

Thanks for all the input guys! ... Now the next question...

17x8 OR 17x9 ???

I will be running Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Radial Traditional Light Truck Tire..

Size: 17" X 34.6 " LT315/70R17 11.90 (Width)

What are your thoughts on rim size?? Advantages/Disadvantages

Thanks again!

I would say 17's. 17x9 Way more options than 15's.

Not a lot of difference between the 2...17x8 will allow you to air down a bit less than the 17x9, less chance of blowing a bead during sidewall flexing. 17x9 will allow for wider tires...other than that I can't see there being a lot of difference.
