Default 15" Rims

I'm confused as to why 15's will fit on some JK's and not on others any of you know?
How can I be sure they will work on mine other than the obvious test swap as I live in Canada and most guys with Jk's run minimum 16's?

I can confirm that the Cragar 15X8 4"BS wheels will fit without modification (however I did use a flapper wheel to smooth the edge of the caliper for just a little more clearance).

Default 15' wheels

Who, if anyone has 15' wheels out for the jk? I came across a set of 5 super swampers that I really dont want to pass up, but theyre 12.5 X 15.

Thanks

I've seen big wheels on Monster trucks, but never 15 feet!

an angle grinder will work just fine. the bolt pattern is 5X5 and the backspacing is 4inches.

Note, grinding down the calipers did not work for me. i still couldn't get them to fit. there just wasn't enough clearance. i had to use spacers to get them to work but i also have 15X10's and not 15X8's.

The answer is : 15 is only part of the equation. There's backspacing is a big contributor. Look at the pics in this post. The caliper is damn close, but (technically)fits. The likely reason for the different results is they are not exactly the same manufacturer, BS, model, etc. That's my opinion on what's happening. As close as they are I don't think tolerances even from all sources combined would make a wheel that fit my jk not fit yours. The easy fix for this is stick with 16's. You'll still have enough sidewall to wheel.

also just to note, they fit perfectly fine on the rear, it was the front calipers that were in the way. if you take both the front and rear off you will see how they are mounted differently. the rears give you plenty of clearance, the fronts not so much.
