Default 15"s on a JK

I'm a cheepo and was looking into getting some 35x12.5x15's. I have a 09 Sahara and $350 a tire for 18's is kinda a lot. Was wondering if there are any issues with brake clearance/overheating with the 15's? What about if mud gets packed in? I've seen JK's with 15's but no one has written anything about problems.

Use the search function and you will find tons of write ups covering this topic. I have 15x8 soft 8's with 3.75 backspacing and had to grind my front calipers. Very easy to do and takes 10 minutes. Hope that helped...

for real this has been discussed 180,487,321 times. well 180,487,322 times now. lol. Im j/k man. Do some searching and you should be able to find a good deal of data on it. I have 18" wheels on my Jeep and my tires were more expensive than tires and wheels if I went to 16s instead. 15s are even less. Good luck!

Start in the Wheels & Tires area of the FAQ's at the top of this section. It talks a bit about 15's.

Then move to this thread... (the non-mobi version of the one above)
