Default 15" Wheels for 08 JK Rubicon?

Hi Everyone,

I believe that I have read somewhere on this forum that 15" wheels are being run on JK Rubicons; but, I may be mistaken. (I spent a fair amount of time searching the forum, and finally decides it might be best just to post about it. Sorry if this is a redundant post.)

My local shop said that 15" wheels won't work because of the size of the brakes on the Rubicon.

(Or perhaps it's a case that steel wheels will work; but, allows won't work?)

Thanks for any help in clearing this up.

Jeff

sometimes works sometimes doesnt.

I have an x and bought the same wheels most others had purchased and they would not clear the calipers.

Here are some links that might help.

It depends on the wheels and your back spacing. If they're cheap cragars the wheels are going to be hit and miss. More expensive wheel will be more uniform.

15" wheels definitely do fit, but some may not, or may require some minor caliper grinding. Mine went on without any issue.
