Default 15" wheels on a JK

ive seen several Jk's with 15" wheels is there anything special you have to do to make them fit or a certain backspacing, the wheels i want are 15x8 with 3.25 backspacing.
probably going to go with 33x12.5x15 procomp extreme mud terrains

is it a real tight fit? do you think half an inch backspacing would make it not fit.

I have your typical black "D" window style in 15x8 with 4" backspacing and they fit fine.

One of the mods should make a "FAQ" sticky with this

15's are tight but look great mine are 15x10 with a 3.75 BS... i lost a lot of wheel weights because how small the are, but over all i would not change them

no dude, back spacing is from the BACK. so you would in essence have .5 MORE than him. where I have .75 LESS. so yours would stick out more and have more clearance from the brakes on the inside diameter of the wheel.

what kind of wieghts are you using to lose them? stick on the inside ?

I "usually" run like 10oz of steel BB's inside the tire but for some reason these 35's balanced easy so I am running your "normal" weights.

deflate the tire, pop the bead by driving on it with another vehicle, dump like 6-7 shot glasses of regular steel BB's from walmart in, reseat the bead and try that for a bit. You are running boggers so regular wheel weights may bring the suck as they usually require a LOT.
I am running BB's in Q78 TSL's and some 36" muds on 2 of my vehicles and they are well balanced to ABOVE highway speeds

and if it does not work for you, you can always pull the BB's out with a magnet

Default Equal

There is a product that large tire shops ( meaning truck/rv tires) use to balance called equal. I don't know a whole lot about it except it works just like the bb's except it is designed for this.

Here is some info. http://imiproducts.com/equal/index.aspx

Not really a plug for them, but against buying bb's at WM.
