Default 16" rims on 2012 jku

Has anyone had issues running 16" rims on a 2012 jku, with the brake caliper clearance?? Want to put 33x12.50r16s on my jeep bit heard that the new calipers are biggee than the old ones. Am I better off running 17's

can't speak from first hand experience, but have seen several threads saying yes. you will have to modify the caliper though to fit. i have also seen people commenting on different results, with different rims so it sounds like a very one-off kind of situation depending on what you purchase

16's still come factory, so don't see it as a problem.

16's are fine and, as mentioned, are offered right from the factory as a base model wheel. most 15 steel wheels work fine too but, a lot of aluminum wheels require that you clearance your calipers a bit.

I have 16" Alloys (Level8 Trackers) on my 12 JKU - No issues. I have yet to hear anyone having clearance issues with 16" rims. There are some 15" rims that have caliper clearance issues but to my knowledge I haven't heard of 16" rims having any problems. Make sure you get the correct Backspace.

I think 15's are the smallest you can get. I'm running 16's and its prefect. Plus, tires are a tad cheaper for 16 in rims

I an running 15's with 3.75" backspace with no problems. Plus the tires are much cheaper in the 15" sizes. But 16's have no problems at all.
