Default 17" change to 16" ?

Tried searching, but can't find it. This is probably a really dumb question so bear with me.

I now have an 07 rubi 2 door. (stock 17" moabs) My question is - when looking at aftermarket rims, could I switch to 16" without any issues? (Kind of like the more tire look) and besides that, they are a little cheaper for wheels, AND tires.

I can't see why not, as many JK's come standard with 16's, but just wondering if there is something I am not thinking of?

thanks in advance

Yes they will fit fine..some guys are running 15's too. The 15's will rub if the rim is thick from what I have read.

If you flip your Draglink for a larger lift they won't clear a 16" rim

I'm with you.....less wheel / more tire is the look I like. I wanted 15s myself, but when I got my 07' back then there weren't many choices without taking the chance that after ordering them they wouldn't fit. 16's will work fine for you....

There may be issues with items such as the TeraFlex Big Brake kit. Likely not an issue unless you move to a much larger tire.
