Default 18" tire upgrade

I want to upgrade from my stock Bridgestone's (255/70 18's). I have no lift or wheel spacers, stock Sahara. I dont want a lift or spacers, has anyone had any luck with a plus size tire without rubbing or ?. I'm thinking about Goodyear Duratrac 275/65 18'S.

I'm considering a more aggressive rather than larger tire on my next change, too. The Cooper Discoverer STT 275/65 R18C 113/110Q 6PR OWL is only slightly larger (32.32" diameter) than Bridgestone OEM (32.1").

It will fit the OEM 7.5" rims (7.5" - 9"), has a C load rating (for softer ride than E) and Q speed rating (100mph).

I am running the 275/75R18 size Duratracs. Ran them stock, and now run them with a 2.5" coil lift with spacers. Great tire, in my opinion. Only rubbed at full lock. E load rating took a little getting used to.

I'm looking at the same tire. i asked this question of an online tire dealer two days ago and was told that you could go almost 2" wider without any problems. Shouldn't be any issues with the height since they are almost identical. I haven't run this combination, so I can't offer real experience with it to know if that answer is correct.

Duratracs are really nice. I don't know what you mean by upgrade, but it is a better tire. I had 295/65 on my Sahara with no lift and there was a very slight rub at full lock on the right sway bar. This is easy to get used to or adjust the steering stops which takes about literally 30 seconds.I seriously don't know why you would want to spend all that money an not go up to 295/65 18 which end up being 32" actual.

Get ready for about a thousand replies telling you to change rim size.

Default keep your 16"s

18" tire upgrade - definition ; not another size wheel ,not what about a lift , not wheel spacers , better tires than stock that will fit my stock Sahara wheels .

Thats the size i'm running right now. Zero issues, it's the same height as a stock tire just 1/2" wider. I am running a rugged trail t/a and will be switching a to bfg rugged terrian. IMO a much better tire then good year.
