Default 180 degree thermostat

Hey all! new here! I am going thru a new build on a new JK. 3" BDS lift, 35" goodrich KM2's, Borla cat back, K&N filter, Lightforce Stryker 170s on windshield pillars. And now have the Jet performance stage 2 chip to install, but can not find a 180 degree thermostat for the JK !! can anyone tell me where to get one for the JK???? Thanks...
Also, looking at gearing, my old TJ was fine with 4:10 gears, My new Rubi. has 4:10s and is now a little slugish with the 35's, this rig will be used 75% on the road but will also see the Silver Lake dunes (MI) and the Badlands of Attica IN, probably not go out west to the "big rocks", Every body on this forum says 5:13s are a must for a auto JK, but a budy of mine ( Lots of experience ) says 4:56s are all I really need!!!! Help me... Thanks again....

Why would you want to install a 180* T-stat??
It will just make the engine take a bit longer to get to normal operating temperature, meaning you'll be running rich a bit longer, and burning more gas.

does you buddy have Lots of experience with a JK and 4.56 gears or just gears in general? The JK 's engine is perfect with auto 35's and 5:13's, I've got 43K on my 5.13's and the only thing I may have done different is 5:38's a few here have even done 5.38s and 35's and are happy with them. I have NOT seen one person on here say they are not happy they went with 5.13's. Dont even bother spending the money to just go 4.56's

as far as the 180 thermostat I dont see the point either, it doesnt make the engine run cooler

Fan on temperatures can start earlier in higher outside temperatures allowing the vehicle to begin the cooling process earlier. A cooler engine will make more power and the caveat of running to cool is moisture in the oil. With a 180 degree thermostat my fan is set to come on low at 200 degrees and at 200 degrees water temperature the oil is 30-40 degrees warmer evaporating moisture. 200 degrees is definitely operating temperature and I still don't have any problems exceeding that on 60+ degree days.

x2, PLEASE go for the advice from the forum members here at JK-Forum...They have hands on/actual experience....The JK is a different animal compared to the TJ. I have driven a TJ on 35's with the 4.56 gearing and its a perfect combination for the "TJ", but with your JK w/an auto TRANS, the 5.13/5.38s would be a better choice...
