2.5 BB question
Hey guys,
Just joined the forum and have been looking all over the place for info on my first mod. Great info by everyone!
I am a bit of a newb when it comes to this kinda stuff so here is my question
If I go with the 2.5 teraflex Budget Boost I know I will get the lift I want, however if I end up getting a bumper at some point, will I need to also get a leveling kit? If so, will the leveling kit even work with the budget boost that is installed?
Forgive me if this has been discussed, I was looking everywhere for it, please link if you have it.
Thanks guys!

is the BB a 2.5 front, 1.5 back? If so, you'd be ok with the lift (I would add the stock spring pad back to your BB).
If the lift is 2.5 front 2.5 back, you'd be raked to begin with and most bumpers would only make it worse.

If you are planning on adding bumpers at some point, get the 2.5 coil kit. I did the BB on my Rubi and added bumpers and now I have some sagging with the stock coils. I have a set of 2.5 Teraflex coils on the way and will be replacing the BB with those to get rid of the sag.
With the coil lift you will have the ability to add coil spacers later on down the road, which will level your Jeep, if you decide to install any aftermarket bumpers, recovery equipment, etc.
Was looking at the 2.5 boost on project JK

Would that suffice if I were to add a bumper later?

To be honest, No.
You will be putting a tremendous amount of weight on stock coils when they were never designed to have the much weight on. If you wanted to level it out with a leveling kit, it would not be compatible with the Teraflex BB Kit.

I'm running the TF BB with full width steel bumpers and winch. My rear also has a tire carrier with trail basket and can holders. Now am I still at the full advertised height of the BB? No. I am sitting about 5/8" lower than I did stock. However the combo works just fine. To be fair I have a 3.5 coil lift on the shelf for when I have the axles beefed up and all the other crap to run 37's.
