Question 2.5" bb with stock shocks

Would this setup be ok . I want to get either the teraflex 2.5 bb or the rough country. I have been told I can run stock shocks with no problems. I was concerned they would be overstretched offroading. Should I be concerned?

I am installing the teraflex BB with shock adapters this weekend. From what I have read on this site this is what most people recommend with the Teraflex kits.

Some people say the shock extenders are weak and can break off road. Anyone have offroad experience with shock extenders?

Sorry man...no offroad experience on my rough country yet... just got it installed this past weekend. I had a 1.75" on there without shock extensions and the ride was ROUGH! It's pretty much back to a nice stock ride now with the extensions. I'll work them over pretty hard in the spring...but I don't forsee any issues really...

did you add anything else to the lift. rear sway bar drop brackets? front adjustable track bar? or are these even necessary?

I didn't add anything that wasn't in the kit... and to be honest, if there is any axel shift or anything like that... I can't see it!

Perhaps I'm just neive...but the vendor told me that this kit included everything I needed and was complete...so I believe them. People said when I cranked the torsion bars on my wife's chevy to help clear her 35's that the ride was gonna be horrible and that it was gonna be super stiff and the front end is gonna wear out...20K later, just had everything inspected by the dealer and they said everything is fine...and I have noticed NO difference in the ride quality at all!

I guess my point is, the advice on here is extremly valuable and most people here really know thier stuff...however there are people here that tend to regergitate (spelling, got punched several times in the head tonight in practice) information they have NO IDEA about.

It does ride nice now though!

I'm using the Rough Country BB and I love it. I have the shock extenders and no problems. I added nothing else to this lift, JK rides great and needs nothing else.
RC did not offer the shocks when I ordered my lift, now that they do I ordered the shocks and they will be here tomorrow. For the price of $299 it's worth just getting the whole package.
Or you can call RC later and add them on if your not happy with the extenders.

That's the best route to take rover... skyjacker and rancho also offer great shocks @ great prices... I think you can pick up 4 skyjacker nitro shocks for like 120-130 bucks for a 2.5" lift... pretty reasonable I think. But I'm gonna try the extenders and see how they work!

The spacers seem really sturdy also being made of metal as apposed to a poly. this is a really great kit. I got it delivered direct from Rough Country to Northern Alberta Canada for 200 bones... can't beat that!
